A monthly inspection of the scissor lift to evaluate all critical hydraulic, mechanical, and safety components, ensuring the equipment remains in safe operating condition and fully compliant with applicable workplace safety standards for elevated work platform operations.

Scissor lift - Monthly

This procedure ensures that the scissor lift undergoes a comprehensive monthly inspection covering hydraulic systems, safety devices, platform integrity, wheel and brake condition, control functionality, and battery or fuel levels, maintaining safe and reliable elevated work platform performance, preventing mechanical failures, and supporting compliance with applicable workplace safety regulations and manufacturer maintenance requirements.

    Preparation

    * Safety Glasses * Steel Toe boots / shoes * Hearing Protection (if required in area) * Appropriate gloves (as necessary) * Lock Out / Tag Out (as necessary)

    -General Tool Bag - General Cleaning solution - Rags - Distilled water - Battery terminal wire brush - Oil

    Procedure

    Clean and inspect lift

    Inspect for loose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic connections, wear, damage or leaks Repair as necessary Flag - less than 30 min repair Fail - greater than 30 min repair

    Tighten as needed, for anything else inform Maintenance Supervisor & conger for repairs.

    Inspect pin retainer pin for damage.

    Add a little Oil for Lubrication.

    Inspect batteries for proper water level

    Add distilled water as needed (disregard for maintenance free batteries)

    Clean and inspect battery terminals for proper connection or corrosion

    Check all fluids for proper fill levels

    Add as necessary

    Functional check of all Safety stops

    Final Checks

    * Re-install any Panels or components that were removed during maintenance. * Remove Lockout Tagout (As Necessary) * Energize all power sources (As Necessary) * Return Asset to Operating Condition (As Necessary) * Visually confirm that equipment powered on as intended
