This semi-annual maintenance checklist will ensure your equipment is always running at peak performance levels and prevent unscheduled downtime. Preventive maintenance is that it enables you to catch problems well ahead of time or in some cases, predict an issue long before it even starts.

    Actions required only for specific pump types are so noted. The symbol () used in the table below indicates that the action indicated may not be applicable to a specific pump of a particular type.

    Replace packing (all packing; not just the outermost ring) 

    Clean and oil gland bolts (packed pumps) 

    Verify free movement of packing glands (packed pumps) 
