    Day 1 - Introduction

As a new technician you will undergo a minimum of 40 hours training. During that time you will spend a minimum of an 8 hour shift with either the tech manager, or assistant tech manager. The remainder of that training period you will be shadowing technicians or the assistant tech manager.

The first part of your training will be going over the operating, safety, and emergency response procedures associated with all manned exhibits (360 bike, Gyro, XD Theater, Coaster). This part of training will involve a hands-on portion as well as a written portion that you and Tech Manager or Assistant Tech Manager will sign off on, when you can successfully demonstrate proper handling of emergency situations (see codes located in the radio section) and can operate the rides safely.

The next section of training will deal with other emergency situations: fire alarm, power spike, etc.

    Day 1 - Radios

Radios are our primary way to communicate within the building. Sometimes it can be difficult to hear communication because the environment is loud with screaming kids, rides, music, etc. Please use these guidelines to communicate effectively with as little radio traffic as possible.
