Check Operation of Flosep Rinse Water Solenoid Valve

This procedure checks the Flosep rinse water solenoid valve by verifying PLC output, relay voltage, and solenoid operation. It ensures electrical integrity and reliable valve performance.

    Check PLC Output Voltage

Verify that the output S2:DO.8 OR .9 is energized. Yellow output light on? If Yes, then check for voltage with meter at output terminal.

    • Yes
    • No
    • N / A

Measure the voltage across the output terminal (Positive: lead to output card terminal S2:DO.8 OR .9; Negative: lead ground/0v-).

Expected reading is approximately 24 VDC when the output is ON.

    Unit

Check Relay Coil Voltage & Operation

Measure voltage across the relay coil terminals. Check voltage between terminals/wires 2027-2 and 2028-2 and 20-2011 0v- on CR2027-1,CR2027-2.

Expected reading is approximately 24 VDC when the PLC output is ON. You can also manually make the Orange flag on face of relay to manual engage. Flip flag up to seal on.

    Unit

Listen for a click when the relay energizes.

    • Yes
    • No
    • N / A

If there is no voltage or no click, perform the following checks:

Check Voltage at Solenoid Valve (SV)

Measure the voltage at the solenoid terminals/ cable terminations at condulet.

Expected reading is approximately 24 VDC when the relay is energized.

If voltage is present but the solenoid doesn’t actuate, perform the following checks:

    Final Checks

    Inspect for the following issues:

Confirm 24 V feed to relay contact common: 1809-1.

    • Yes
    • No
    • N / A

Confirm 0V common: 16-1616. Ohm to Ground. Resistance<20ohms.<

    • Yes
    • No
    • N / A

    • Yes
    • No
    • N / A

Document any readings and repairs in the log as part of the troubleshooting process.
