ESCRUB 2000 HP Annual PM
This procedure ensures that the ESCRUB 2000 HP undergoes a comprehensive annual preventive maintenance evaluation covering scrubbing components, pump condition, filtration media, drive systems, electrical connections, and overall unit integrity, maintaining effective air or surface scrubbing performance, preventing premature wear or system failures, and extending the operational lifespan of the equipment through structured and thoroughly documented yearly maintenance practices.
EQUIPMENT PREPARATION & INSPECTION CHECKLIST

ESCRUB ID Number
Open panel and tighten every wire termination and check terminations.
Check for open holes in each panel, look for and address signs of rust or water.
Ensure panel is dry and water tight.
Add a desiccant pack to panel if missing or replace if saturated.
Sight Glasses Inspection
Check integrity of sight glasses, ensure glass is clean and liquid level is visible.
Ensure valves are open and drain is operational.
Label Verification
Ensure every connection is well labeled, and label matches the connection.
Temperature Gauges Inspection
Inspect all temperature gauges for integrity and functionality by applying heat/cold.
Check needle moves accordingly, replace if bad.
Pressure Indicators Inspection
Ensure pressure indicators are operational, numbers are readable and check integrity.
Replace if needed.
Sample Ports Inspection
Check integrity of valves, ensure their functionality and ensure all are facing down to the ground.
if the answer is "noneOf [PASS]"
Repair or replace valves.
SO Cord Inspection
Check integrity of the cord, ensure insulation cover is intact and no wires are visible.
Expansion Joints Inspection
Check integrity of the expansion joints, ensure they are tight.
Columns and Nozzles Inspection
Annual Task. Communicate with maintenance before performing this task.
Remove the top head of each column to inspect the nozzles.
Ensure gasket is in good condition, replace if necessary.
Remove the nozzles and clean them with water, wear proper PPE.
PRV Inspection
Ensure PRV's are in a vertical position.
Check the inspection date. Is it greater than a year old?
if the answer is "oneOf [FLAG,FAIL]"
If greater than a year, pull RV for Pop test certification. This will need to be sent out to the vendor. Ensure to inform Maintenance.
Strainers Inspection
Open strainers, ensure they are clean and operational. (Always assume there is caustic)
Skid and Resevoir Inspection
Check integrity of the skid, check fiberglass is still in good condition and it is secure to the skid.
Perform an internal check in the basin. Use a flashlight to check for and corrosion. Check any support welds for cracks or corrosion.

If corrosion is found red tag the unit, notify the supervisor or shop manager, put in a WO request in MaintainX.
Pump Inspection
DO NOT RUN THE MAGANTEX PUMPS DRY! THIS WILL DAMAGE THE PUMP INTERNALS!
Ensure pump is well secured to skid and valves are open before starting.
Check motor rotation and observe/listen for abnormal sounds or vibrations.
Digital Flow Meters Inspection
Ensure flow meters integrity, ensure it is operational and reading.
Sprayers and Area Lights Inspection
Ensure sprayers of both columns are working perfectly by looking through the column sight glass.
Ensure all area lights work, replace lightbulb if needed, look for and address signs of rust or water.
Final Checks
If the RV was sent out for testing has it been reinstalled or replaced?
if the answer is "oneOf [No]"
Red tag the ESCRUB until RV comes back and is verified it passed inspection.
Verify that all plugs and caps are in place.
All open-ended flange connections have blinds, and all bolts are in place.
Torque check all bolts on flanged connections.
Perform full test fire.

Inform the Supervisor over the job and find a Scrubber that will stay in compliance for the duration of the job.

Panel Check Out
3. Make sure all labels are visible and present inside and outside the panel
Scrubber Checkout/Prep
5. Check for any visible leaks with the pumps off
6. Verify if the liquid level sight glass is working and clear
Panel Functionality Check
8. Verify all lights or LEDs are working
9. Verify if the pH Emerson 1056 is working (if applicable)
10. Check pump #1 rotation
11. Check pump #2 rotation (if applicable)
12. Verify high level alarm: accuracy and audible alarm (if applicable)
External Inspection (with power on and pumps running)
13. Check if the flow transmitters are working
14. Flow pump #1 _________ Flow on pump #2 _________ (if applicable)
15. Pump outlet pressure #1 _________ #2 _________ (if applicable)
16. Verify the spray nozzles are functional in each column (use viewing ports)
17. Pressure/Hold test the scrubber at 10% less than the set relief pressure on the PRV for one hour.
Perform soap test on all flange connections.
Scrubber Completion
20. Verify all threaded openings are plugged and flanged openings are blinded
21. Inspect visually to ensure the relief valves are correctly installed and functioning
22. Verify all fittings on the scrubber are SS or compatible*
23. Verify if the scrubber internals have been decontaminated and verified clean If YES, add the date & location or attach the contractor invoice if available
