Setting up a PC without Microsoft Account

This procedure guides you through setting up Windows with a local account by temporarily bypassing the Microsoft account requirement. Complete the limited setup using the provided default credentials, then re-enable the Ethernet/Wi-Fi adapters once the desktop loads.

Setting up a PC without Microsoft Account

Turn on PC after reset / for initialization

Press shift+F10 at the prompt to sign in

In the command prompt, type "ncpa.cpl" & hit enter to bring up the network connection options

Disable all ethernet & Wi-Fi adapters & close connections

In the command prompt again, on new line type "oobe\bypassnro"

After restart, at ""Let's connect you to a network," a new option will appear:

Select "I don't have internet"

Proceed with the limited setup, using username "User" and password "user," hint "user". If security questions, answer to all 3 questions is "user"

After startup, proceed back into Network Settings & re-enable ethernet & Wi-Fi adapters
