Monthly Preventive Maintenance Checklist for Greenkeeping

This checklist can be used for almost every aspect of the course, from watering the turf and pruning trees to mowing fairways or fertilizing greens. Checklists are essential for maintaining a golf course because they guide how to perform tasks, so no important steps are overlooked.

    The greenkeeper’s basic tools include spades, rakes, edgers, fertilizer applicators for spreading fertilizer down between grass blades or on top of areas that need it. In addition, some have access to more specialized machines like mowers and tractors for cutting grass selectively or applying pesticides in large quantities.
