Urine Treatment on Carpeting
This is a procedure for the treatment of wet or dried urine on carpeting. The Hydramaster U-P-S (urine pre-spray) must be diluted in the existing 1 gallon pressure vessel to the ratio listed on the product label.
Step 2: use a timer, allow product to sit on stain for 15 minutes. This is a strong chemical. Don’t allow it to sit for long periods on carpeting.
Step 3: using the Rigid extractor vacuum, use warm water to rinse and vacuum the stain area at least 3 times. Be liberal with water use.
Step 4: use the Rug Doctor carpet cleaner and carpet detergent to go over the stained area a few times to remove all urine and treatment chemicals.
Step 5: absolutely cannot skip this step… must dry the area with the carpet dryer immediately or the entire procedure may not work correctly. This step is often overlooked as resident wants to return to the room and turn off the carpet dryers.
