Haas VF-4 Coolant Replacement

Take out the pump and all the covers of the coolant tank. DO NOT DICONNECT THE PUMP. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE THE TANK AWAY FROM THE MACHINE WITH THE PUMPS INSTALLED. (ONLY LIFT OUT THE COOLANT PUMPS AND SET THEM ASIDE.) Dispose the used coolant as Waste Oil and clean the surface and the filters with a cloth. Do not use solvents. Check the following video as an example.

Add the new water-coolant mixture

The coolant tank capacity is 55 gal. The coolant used is TRIM MicroSol 692XT. GAL PN: ACCS-0220N The appropriate concentration is 7.5% or 7.5 Refractive Reading. The fill level can also be checked with a tape measure in the center of the tank from the bottom of the tank with 7 in representing 55 gal. or max level. Make sure the tape measure reaches the bottom of the tank. The exact quantities are: Water: 50.9 gal or 10.18 5 gal buckets or 6.475 in Coolant: 4.1 gal or 16.4 qts, or until 7 in is reached.

• To fill the tank, first fill the coolant tank with clean tap water up to 6.5 in tank level.

• Fill the rest with coolant until the max level of 7 in is reached.

• Mix with a clean paddle until the mixture color looks uniform.

• Install the pump, put the coolant tank in its operational position, turn on the machine, and press the COOLANT button in the control to turn the coolant on for 10 minutes to finish mixing the coolant.
