Eyewashes must be checked weekly by laboratory personnel to ensure water flow and quality. This helps clean out any rust, scale deposits, or bacteria that may accumulate.
Inspect Eyewash station and Emergency Shower. AFTER INSPECTION DATE AND SIGN INSPECTION RECORD.
Visually inspect to ensure tank is filled full
Ensure no leaking
Dust and clean as required
Ensure area around eyewash is clear of obstacles and slip/trip hazards
Emergency Shower Inspection
Ensure unit is not leaking or dripping
Ensure spray head covers are in place and in good condition
Activate both the shower head and the eyewash to ensure proper and clean water flow.
Ensure area around shower is free of obstacles and slip/trip hazards
