Monthly Elevator Fire Service Test
This procedure provides the steps for performing monthly Phase 1 and Phase 2 fire service tests on the Worship Center and Kids elevators to verify proper emergency operation. Record the results of each test, return all controls to normal operation, and complete the monthly test sheet after the inspection is finished.
Phase 1 (Worship Center)
Elevator buzzes and comes to the bottom Floor
Elevator doors stay open
Inside floor selection/door buttons are disabled
2nd Floor call buttons are disabled
Phase 2 (Worship Center)
The door should close only as you are holding the door close button until it is closed
When the door is closed press the 2nd floor button
The door should only open as you hold the door open button until it is open
With the door open, switch the key to "HOLD." This should disable the buttons
Then switch inside key back to "OFF,” close the door, and return to the first floor.
Phase 1 (Kids Elevator)
Kids lobby only has Phase 1
Elevator buzzes and comes to the bottom Floor
Elevator doors stay open
Inside floor selection/door buttons are disabled
2nd Floor call buttons are disabled
