Regular auger inspections ensure that your auger is free of debris, corrosion, and other harmful particles that could lead to serious problems down the line, significantly benefiting equipment longevity, performance, and safety, ultimately saving money on repairs and downtime.
Auger tube temperature (should be less than 200 degrees F)
Any noise and vibrations?
If there are no excessive noises or vibrations, then pass. If there are minor noises and/or vibrations, then flag. If there are excessive noises or vibrations then fail
Any fiber or rubber buildup on or around auger?
Run until material is empty
Inspect seal on shaft (replace as needed)
Hanger bearing (replace as needed)
Inspect bearing and lubricate
Tighten all bolts on motor ensuring solid tight connection
Change gearbox oil
Any unusual wear report to Eco Green
