Backwash water filter - ICF

This procedure is used to backwash the ICF water filter and return it to normal operation, leaving the gates, doors, and padlocks secured.

Backwash water filter - ICF

This procedure explains how to backwash the ICF water filter to keep water flow steady and the system running properly. It guides the technician through gathering the required tool, opening the gate and filter lean-to, switching the filter to the backwash and conditioning positions, and securing the area afterward.

Equipment required

Flat blade screwdriver

Open the gate, right hand side of IQF

Padlock code 1980

Open lean-to that houses filter

Padlock code 1980

Use screwdriver to push in the black button and slowly rotate it anti-clockwise until it is on "Backwash"

Remove the screwdriver and wait for the button to click itself out. When the button clicks out, use the screw driver to push the button back in and slowly rotate anti-clockwise until it is on "Condition Water"

Ensure all doors/gates are shut and padlocks re-secured
