Pre inspection checklists are proven to help prevent issues with your Liftpods. Proper inspections will always lead to better quality of the life of your equipment and reduce costs.

    The Pre-Start Inspection should include each of the following:

      Cleanliness

      Check all surfaces for leakage (oil, fuel, or battery fluid) or foreign objects

      Report any leakage to the proper maintenance personnel.

      Structure

      Inspect the machine structure for dents, damage, weld or parent metal cracks or other discrepancies

      Decals and Placards

      Check all for cleanliness and legibility. Make sure none of the decals and placards are missing. Make sure all illegible decals and placards are cleaned or replaced

      Operation and Safety Manuals

      Ensure a copy of the Operation and Safety Manual, AEM Safety Manual (ANSI markets only), and ANSI Manual of Responsibilities (ANSI markets only) are enclosed in the weather-resistant storage box.

      Walk-Around Inspection

      Battery

      Charge as required

      Fuel

      (Combustion Engine Powered Machines) – Add the proper fuel as necessary.

      Engine Oil Supply

      Ensure that the engine oil level is at the full mark on the dipstick and the filler cap is secure

      Fluid Levels

      Be sure to check the engine oil and the hydraulic oil levels

      Accessories/Attachments

      Refer to the Accessories section in this manual or the accessory installed upon the machine for specific inspection, operation, and maintenance instructions.

      Function Check

      Once the Walk-Around Inspection is com- plete, perform a functional check of all systems in an area free of overhead and ground level obstructions.

      Platform Gate

      Keep gate and surrounding area clean and unobstructed.

      Check that gate closes properly and is not bent or damaged

      Keep gate closed at all times except when entering/exiting the platform and loading/unloading materials.

      Lanyard Anchorage Points

      JLG Industries, Inc. recommends personnel in the platform wear a full body harness with a lanyard attached to an authorized lanyard anchorage point.

      WARNING: IF THE MACHINE DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY, TURN OFF THE MACHINE IMMEDIATELY! REPORT THE PROBLEM TO THE PROPER MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE UNTIL IT IS DECLARED SAFE FOR OPERATION.
