As with all heavy equipment, it’s important to inspect and maintain your and boom lifts to ensure they’re running efficiently and improving your productivity. This checklist will help you in inspecting these machines at the start of every day, at shift changes and any time a new operator takes over the machine.

JLG Vertical Mast DSPi S: Function Check

As with all heavy equipment, it’s important to inspect and maintain your and boom lifts to ensure they’re running efficiently and improving your productivity. This checklist will help you in inspecting these machines at the start of every day, at shift changes and any time a new operator takes over the machine.

    Perform the Function Check as follows:

    From the ground control console with no load in the platform:

    From the platform control console:

    Operate all functions and check all limiting and cut-out switches to ensure proper operation:

    Machine Brakes

    Tilt Warning Limit

    Drive Speed Reduction Limit

    Platform Joystick Enable, Footswitch Enable, and Left Hand Lift Enable

    Raise and lower platform 2 ft to 3 ft (0.61 m to 0.92 m) several times. Check for smooth lifting and lowering of platform.

    Platform Gate Open (Australian Spec. Machines Only)

    Ensure the Object Detection System (if equipped) functions properly (refer to Section — Machine Operation):
