Warnings and Alerts

• Verify horn is functional (If equipped)

• Verify strobe light is functional (If equipped)

• Is the directional compass legible?

• Are all of the directional labels on the remote? If not, please notify Maintenance.

Hoist inspection

• Inspect hoist chain or wire rope for damage, bent, kinks, and fraying of the wire rope

• Verify up and down limits are functional

• Inspect hook for wear, cracks, and increase of the hook's throat

• Verify hook latch is functional (If equipped)

• Wire rope - verify rope is properly seated in spool, sheaves, and pulley(s)

• Chain - make sure chain is seating into the gear, inspect chain's bag wear, and chain is stored in the bag

• Inspect chain bag (If equipped)

• Inspect gearbox for leaks

Inspection each hoist motion - run each motion to ensure they're working properly and stopping distance is normal

Bridge Inspection

• Visually inspect bridge drives for loose chain, gears, and motors for any abnormalities

• Inspect crane stops and bumpers

• Inspect collector shoes and verify they're seated in the collector rail (If equipped)

• Inspect for loose bolts and other anomalies

Inspect each bridge motion - run each motion to ensure they're working properly and stopping distance is normal

Check for any unusual sound from the crane or hoist mechanism while operating the crane or hoist.
