Troubleshooting Service Pricing (Washify)

In the CWA, we can update the cost of a service, but sometimes it may not be obvious where that price was originally set, which can result in some sites having pricing that vary from others

• It may be worth doing a reload before spending too much time on an issue like this, just in case someone else has already worked on a fix, and it's just pending deployment.

Because of this there are multiple areas we need to check when troubleshooting the price of the item. Let's step through those two areas and see how to ensure prices are set correctly.

• 1) Log into the CWA

• A) Note this link will take you directly to the Manage Service Page.

• 2) Go to Services along the lefthand side

• 3) Go to Manage Services

• 4) Search for the item in question

• 5) Click the three dots on the righthand side

• 6) Click edit

Now we're ready to start looking at the different settings that make up the final price at a location.

• RELOAD, RELOAD, RELOAD None of these files below will update automatically on the X-Station machines so a reload is needed from the affected sites in order for the changes to be tested and picked up

Location

• 1) Click the Location tab on the service's edit page.

• 2) Note the column Associated with Service

• 3) If there is a +, that means the service not being available at a site.

• ~ If you're troubleshooting a problem with a service not being available at a site

• A) Click the three dots

• B) Click Associate Service

• C) Click the Associate button - No need to fill out any details.

• D) Now the service is active at that location.

2) If you're troubleshooting a problem with a service not being the correct price at a site, check the associated price.

• A) Find the site in question in the list of locaitons

• B) Click the three dots

• C) Click reassociate service

• D) Confirm that there is either:

• ~No setting here (aka match whatever the default price is set to)

• ~ OR... The setting matches the pricing appropriate for this one location.

• ~ Click Re-Associate once you've confirmed the settings.

• We try to keep pricing the same everywhere, so more often than not it's going to be option 1, make everything blank and click Re-Associate

Multi-month discounts are being phased out beginning Feb 2022.

• Sometimes we'll associate a discount with a recurring plan in order to bring down the cost of the first month or a handful of months. In those instances, a discount is created and then included within the service to reduce the cost.

• 1) Click the Multiple Month Discount tab.

• ~ If you're having problems with a recurring plan discount appearing incorrectly.

• A) Observe what discounts are included there and record the names.

• B) Go to the Discounts along the lefthand side.

• C) Select Manage Discounts

• D) Search for the discount names you've recorded.

• E) Record the discount amount

• F) Subtract that amount from the default price to see the final price for that month of the plan.

• G) Adjust as needed.

2) There's potentially another issue too where an active customer will attempt to switch to a new plan with a multi-month discount, and the discount will not apply properly.

• A) This is due to their plan never ending, and the system thinking that they continue to be a member.

• B) The only way to avoid this issue is to cancel the person's plan entirely, and then sign them back up as if they were new unlimited member.

• C) I'm not going to go into detail on that process as the site should be aware of how to apply a fix like this, and we can tell them to just cancel the plan and sign them back up to resolve.
