Connecting to your PC through RDP

Windows

• 1) Click on the start menu, type remote desktop connection, and open it

• 2) In the Remote Desktop Connection window that pops up, click show options.

• 3) Under computer, enter your rdp link: rpd.cobblestone.com:[your#]

• A) Check your personal email or reach out to me or Robert if you don't know what [your#] should be

• 4) In username enter the following: COBBLESTONE\[your.username]

• A) Again, check your personal email or reach out to me or Robert if you don't know what [your.username] should be.

• 5) Click Save As.... and save the shortcut somewhere you'll remember so you don't have to enter all the info every time.

• 6) Click Connect

• 7) It will ask for your password (the one you use to login to your machine). Go ahead and enter that.

• 8) If you entered the right password, you should see a yellow dialog box, click yes in the bottom right.

• 9) Your work PC should now be open, and you'll see a Duo login screen.

• A) IF you have to push notifications enabled, you should get a push notification. Approve that and you're good to go!

• B) IF you don't have push notifications enabled, go to the Duo app and accept the request you've received.

Mac Systems

• 1) Launch the Mac remote desktop app.

• 2) On the top right there should be an "+ add" button, click it.

• 3) You should see a drop down, click "PCs"

• 4) Add your PC name: rdp.cobblestone.com:port

• 5) Click the "+" symbol that's on the right of the User Account

• 6) Add your username: COBBLESTONE\First.Last

• 7) Save (bottom)

• 8) At the main screen you should now see the RDP file you just created, go ahead and click on it (starts the connection)

• 9) You will be shown a window called Accept Certificate and connect? Check Don't ask about this certificate again.

• 10) Click Connect anyway

• A) After you should be prompted to enter your password. You want to enter your Desktop password that's in the office.

• 11) Lastly, a window should launch, after it loads you will be sent a DUO request to your phone. Approve the connection to access your office computer. When your session is finished, be sure to disconnect from your office computer (close the window).

• The areas that recommended you just want to fill that in with your first and last name.

• Don’t save your password in the configurations, we want to lower any risk from unauthorized users.
