This procedure will guide you on the proper inspection of your Thermatron equipment including but not limited to its straps, bolts and nuts, covers, shield contacts, base plate, relays, press leveling, insulator assembly carbon tracks and the overall condition of the equipment.

Thermatron Monthly Preventive Maintenance

This procedure will guide you on the proper inspection of your Thermatron equipment including but not limited to its straps, bolts and nuts, covers, shield contacts, base plate, relays, press leveling, insulator assembly carbon tracks and the overall condition of the equipment.

    Inspect overall condition of equipment

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Inspect brass / bronze conducting straps for breaks, cracks, or sharp creases

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Check And Tighten Any Nuts Or Bolts That May Have Become Loose

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Use torque screwdriver to check for loose hardware

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Check for good metaltometal contact between all high frequency components and between removable covers, shield contacts, and base plate

    • Pass
    • Flag
    • Fail

    Relays and contactors should be checked for freedom of operation

    • Pass

    Check the press leveling and support bolts and tighten if become loose

    • Pass

    The electrode should be thoroughly examined

    The insulator assembly between the hot electrode and upper platen should be thoroughly examined and cleaned
