This is to ensure that during the daily operation checks appropriate actions are carried out and that any defects found beyond the car is reported.

    1. Visually inspect interceptors for Hydrocarbons paying particular attention to the last chamber. Skim off any oil found in the interceptor. Open up interceptor outlet valves if excessive water is in the bunds. Do not leave the open valve unattended. REFER NOTE: 1

    2. Walk along pipelines. Check for leaks, rust spots, and any pipe movement. Check that pipe supports are secure. And that pipes have not moved out of position. REFER NOTE: 2

    3. Check that Pressurized Tank Pressure Gauges are working correctly. Check tanks oresure gauges at the hottest time of the day. Ensure that tank is holding pressure at a maximum of 20m bar. Record Reading. REFER NOTE: 3

    4. Walk around all tanks. Look for sign of leaks. Are there any leaks from weld joints at manholes and nozzles. Check tank valves and flanges for leaks. Is shell plate dimpling or buckled around nozzles. REFER NOTE: 4

    5. Check for any hazards or defects that may endanger the activities. Report any hazards you may come across during your inspection to the Terminal Manager. REFER NOTE: 5

    6. Walk the Fence line to ensure that it is in good condition and that there have not been any breaches in security. Ensure that grass and other vegetation is clear from the Fence. REFER NOTE: 6

    7. Dewater all Aviation Tanks. And draw sample from Aviation strainers and filters under pressure. Record result in the Aviation QC Records File. Note any unusual problems like more than normal water in the microfilter outlet line on the checklist as well. REFER NOTE: 7

    8. Check pump house & Loading bay for leaks equipment. Check for any unusual noises from the pumps during operation. Check that pump/motor couplings are OK. REFER NOTE: 8

    9. Drain water from compressor & water traps & Check oil level for compressor and oilers. Top up if required. REFER NOTE: 9

    10 Check that yard, workshop, lube store and drum storage areas are in a clean and tidy condition. Organize clearing if required. REFER NOTE: 10

    11. Check that daily check list has been completed for ALL Vehicles. And signed by the TO responsible for the Pre Departure vehicles Checks. REFER NOTE: 11

    12. Check the security log Book for Defects and report this to the terminal manager check all punch keys are secure on chains and properly mounted. REFER NOTE: 12

    13. Check the corrective Action Request File and the previous days. Daily checklist to ensure that the previous day defects have been registered for action by the Terminal Manager. REFER NOTE: 13

    14. Check that the Fork Lift Daily Check have been done by the person responsible for carrying out the daily check on the Forklift. And that the checklist is in the for k lift file. REFER NOTE: 14

    REPORT ANY DEFECTS FOUND ABOVE ON A CAR AND NOTE THE CAR NUMBER NEXT TO THE DEFECT. PASS THE CAR AND CHECKLIST ONTO THE TERMINAL MANAGER
