Monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections

A basic service is carried out annually by a qualified engineer so they can check for tampering, blockages, damage, and corrosion. This is extremely important as extinguishers can often be condemned due to corrosion and as rust occurs internally, this can only be noticed by a trained engineer during an annual check.

Monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections

The following is to be checked for each extinguisher.1. Nothing Blocking Access to the extinguisher, 2. Pressure guage shows fully charged, 3. Hose/Nozzle is free of cracks, tears, or obstructions, 4. Pin and Tamper seal are intact, 5. Handle/Lever is undamaged, 6. Fullness is verified by weighing or hefting, 7. No dents, leaks, rust, chemicals deposits, or signs of abuse and wear, 8. Dry powder is moving freely inside the cylinder, 9. Inspection tag is attached and updated
