Autoclave Flush Start of Day

This procedure will guide you on proper flush cycle of your autoclave must at the start of the day. This is important to make sure your machine works properly before operation.

    Turn the black knob on the autoclave front cover counterclockwise and pull cover toward you. Front cover opens from the left side.

    If the unit is powered off, open the front cover of the autoclave and move rocker switch to "on" position.

    Locate main drain knob behind front cover, near the bottom of the autoclave. Knob must be rotated 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Chamber door must be closed to access the drain knob.

    Strainer is located in the main chamber, toward the front, under the bottom rack. Strainer must be removed, inspected for debris, and triple rinsed with DI water before being replaced.

    Close chamber door and select the option to start timer. The process takes 5 minutes.

    Locate the drain knob and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise to close drain. This step must be done in order to properly use the autoclave. If drain is not closed, large amounts of steam will escape the autoclave.

    On the main display, select the arrow in the lower right of the screen to advance to the autoclave options. The autoclave is now ready for use.
